About Us
Mission Statement
‘To provide expert caring help of the highest standard available.’
‘To treat everybody with professionalism, dignity and respect.’
‘To be a service of excellence in the management of psychological issues.’
I qualified with a Master’s degree in Clinical and Health Psychology in 2001 and have worked in a variety of settings both here and overseas. I love many aspects of being a psychologist especially providing support for people as they face difficult times in their lives.
My approach is predominantly Cognitive Behaviour Therapy that looks at the relationship between our thoughts about particular situations and how those thoughts effect how we feel. However, I have training in many different approaches and will use the one most suited to each client.
I am passionate about honouring the worth of each individual, and maintain a deep respect for the power of human relationships. My clients tell me they appreciate my ability to provide a different perspective on their situations and my ability to empathise with how they feel. I believe in and maintain confidentiality in a completely non-judgemental setting.
I have experience in the management and treatment of relationship issues, parenting issues, depression and anxiety, substance abuse, PTSD and crisis management, childhood abuse, self-harm, legal issues and serious mental health conditions. I enjoy working with people of all ages from children through to the elderly and see individuals, couples and families. I am fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of both the Australian Psychological Society and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. I work with the Victims of Crime Tribunal, Workcover NSW and I am a registered provider for Medicare Australia and ATAPS.
